The biggest shock to me was how lived in my house The biggest shock to me was how lived in my house feels now that I homeschool. I was used to having my house just as I wanted it while the kids were at school. And I could mostly keep it that way. But this has shifted me, because I realized it was a control thing for me. At the start of the year the crafts, toys, and books all over drove me nuts. But I’m slowly realizing we live in this house. It will look lived in! My kids will play, and then we’ll work on putting it back. This doesn’t always easily come together for me but I’m working on it. Thankful to veteran homeschooling friends for reminding me of this. So when I saw this scene yesterday I reminded myself that this isn’t a mess, and I can let it go while my little one keeps herself busy ☺️ #thepurposefulmother #homeschoollife #newhomeschooler #christianmoms #homeschoolinglife #inthishouse #housecleaning

How’s your week been? How’s your heart? Mine How’s your week been? How’s your heart? Mine is weary, and yet, I’m reminded of this truth: God is good. How do I know? Because I’ve seen Him move. I look back and can say ‘Yes, Lord. I remember all you’ve done!’ I’m clinging to that right now. I’m believing this truths over me. One of the names of God from the Bible is Jireh. It means ‘to see, to perceive, and to provide’. I’m clinging to that name of God & resting in being known by my creator.
